Commentary: Foreclosure filings in throughout Collier County were down significantly. The 6 month filing trend is falling in Colllier County with the exception of Marco Island. However, the monthly filings are down. In December, foreclosures made up 12% of the Marco Island market, 20% of Naples, 19% of Collier County, 28% of Florida and 16% nationally. As you can see, there was a sharp upturn in sales over last month. The new sales numbers depict information directly from both the Sunshine(Naples) and Marco Island MLS. These sales numbers are fair more accurate that the numbers from RealtyTrac.
